02How we built it
How we built Corey
Corey started as the system that runs Presso Network, and has run the studio day to day since 01/05/2026. Four pieces make that work.
- MCP
A hosted MCP server
Corey is a Model Context Protocol server. You add it to Claude as a connector and sign in once. It works inside the AI you already use, so there is no new app and no platform to move to.
- Skills
Skills and knowledge packs
Each job has a skill: a researched, step-by-step way to do it, backed by knowledge packs that keep the facts current. Corey loads the one the task needs instead of guessing.
- The hub
An always-on hub
Inside Presso Network, scheduled work runs on one always-on machine we call the hub. It runs Corey's recurring jobs and the checks on our code, so nothing waits for a laptop to be open.
- Two keys
The two-key rule
Whoever writes a change never merges it. A separate review agent that did not write the code has to pass it, and the checks have to be green, before it goes live. Money, signatures and official filings go to a person.
